Introduction
The wonderful folks at Animal Free Research UK believe that experiments on animals are scientifically and ethically unjustifiable, and that pioneering animal free research provides the best chance of finding treatments for human diseases.
They asked us to build a brand new database showcasing all the antibodies created without using animals during research.
The solution
We designed and built a fully custom WordPress solution that allows for both Animal Free Research UK and their approved providers to upload and maintain the antibodies.
Providers can apply for an account online, and once approved they complete their profile and can then download a template for the CSV import. When they upload a CSV, they can choose to add, replace or merge any new antibodies, and the website will run queue workers importing the new products.
On the front end users can search and filter antibodies by provider, type, species, category and more.
All of this is a free service for both users and providers with an aim to make the production of animal free antibodies more appealing, and easier to find.
